Content: The series provides an on-going opportunity for caregivers caring for their loved ones, to come ask questions and learn some basic caregiving tools. Each session is two hours long and focuses on a particular subject related to caregiving. The tools and resources offered throughout the Caregiver Basics series help to make caregivers jobs easier.
Caregiving and Depression: When Things Fall Apart: Caregiving can be challenging, at best. Family caregivers often find themselves with far more to do, far more decisions to make, with less sleep, inadequate skills, and more uncertainy. It's easy to understand how depression can sneak into our lives unnoticed. The results can be detrimental not only for caregivers, but for their loved ones too. What are the warning signals? How can we undertake caregiving responsibilities without burnout? Join us and find out.
